Beschreibung

Gran Canaria boasts the diversity of an entire continent in one island. And as soon as you travel inland on this small group tour, you'll discover just why. Journey through mountainous landscapes and savour a local lunch in Bascamao. There are also stops in Artenara and a wine cellar. Esteban, one of our local guides, says, ‘It's high after high on this tour, starting with lunch at a cave restaurant with views and then going to the island's highest village. At over 1,200m above sea level, Artenara is nestled on a ridge surrounded by jagged peaks. It's beautiful.'

Head north via the Mogan Valley, snaking our way through gorges and gaps towards the very centre of the island. The views along the way are camera-grabbingly good, so there'll be an occasional pit stop to take some pics. Lunch in a family-owned ‘cave restaurant' in the remote hamlet of Bascamao is next. Savour dishes made from locally sourced ingredients, with a side of views over the surrounding countryside and the ocean. What's more, with this visit, you contribute to the local community and economy.

Afterwards, head to the highest town on the island, Artenara. Explore on foot this tiny village clustered around a whitewashed church or stick your head into the famed cave dwellings museum. Next, you'll head to the Presas viewpoint, among others, for views of alpine landscapes and the northern coastline. Round off the day with a stop by a family-run winery to sample its wines.

Sichere Fahrer, Super Guide. Heiko war unbezahlbar. Wir haben unglaublich viel Schönes gesehen und über das Leben auf der Insel gelernt. Wir haben in einem Höhlenrestaurant gut gegessen und der Besuch bei der Winzerin war mega. Ein ganz toller Tag und sehr empfehlenswert.

Der Busfahrer war ausgezeichnet Die Reiseberatung der TUI, in unserem Hotel Mogan Princess, hat leider Versprechen von 2 Dorfbesichtigungen gegeben, auch in Handschriftlicher Vorlage, diese wurden nicht eingehalten ??. Wir wurden Stundenlang nur durch die Bergkurven gefahren, ohne wirkliche Erklärungen mit Bezug auf GRAN CANARIA zu erhalten?….. Das Mittagessen und die Einkehr war ok. Die Weinanbau Besichtigung war ok. aber die Weinprobe leider ein Witz??. Nicht weiter zu empfehlen??????

Guide Gunter war hervorragend. Hatte viel erzählt und erklärt. Und ist nebenbei ganz sicher die gut kurvige Strecke gefahren. Tour ist schön und zeigt ein anderes Bild von Gran Canaria, als nur Strand und Baden.

Der Norden Gran Canaria, Wahnsinn,wunderschöner Landschaft. Viele Berge, Seen, und auch sehr viel grüne Landschaft. Sehr tolle Ausblicke. Netter erfahrener Fahrer hat uns sehr souverän durch eine kurvenreiche tolle Landschft gefahren. Mittagessen und Winzerführung waren ok.
