What to expect

Buckle up for a nighttime adventure with the turtles on this unforgettable Boa Vista beach walk. After hotel pick up, you're heading to one of the world's top nesting beaches, where loggerhead turtles – the OG Caretta caretta – have been laying their eggs for centuries. It's not just any beach – it's the third-largest nesting spot on the planet, so you know you're in for something special.

Once you arrive, your guide will spill all the deets on these incredible creatures.
You'll get the lowdown on why Boa Vista is a turtle paradise and how the locals are working hard to keep it that way. Then comes the main event.

With the stars lighting the way, you'll stroll down to the beach with a biologist, ready to watch these amazing creatures do their thing. It's pure magic as you see the turtles nesting under the night sky – prepare to be seriously wowed. You'll then head back to camp, buzzing from the experience, before being whisked back to your hotel.

Amazing experience, it could be made clearer at booking that long periods of travel ~80 minutes are involved in less than comfortable conditions - a bit cramped and hot in the vehicles and a significant portion is quite rough off-road. Would still recommend, but with this important detail made clear.

Fantastic tour, A jeep with 8 people, we had couples from Liverpool, Germany and Yorkshire, Fab conversations to and from. After a hair raising jeep trip, briefed and see a 35 yr old turtle laying eggs, and returning to the see. Professional guide throughout, expect some waiting as this is nature at its best. Very bumpy trip but fun. Very professional guides and protection team. 100% from us Steve & Jane. UK

I would suggest pointing out on the ticket to bring and wear dark clothes. This wasn't mentioned until I spoke to the Tui rep that the hotel. I hadn't bought anything dark with me to wear.

Trip was really good. Amazing that we got to see two turtles that had just hatched, hear about the work that goes on at the reserve and see two or three loggerhead turtles dig a nest on the beach, lay and then bury their eggs before going back to sea. King Arthur was a brilliant guide and answered any questions. The trip involves a very bumpy ride for 30 to 40 mins in the back of a jeep type vehicle that seats 8. Very cosy and not the most comfortable ride but we all enjoyed the trip.
